International Applicants
Daoist Traditions welcomes international students! Students from other countries enhance the learning environment by bringing their diverse perspectives to our campus community and the classroom. The ability to build connections and be informed by the experiences of others are qualities that make successful practitioners.
As an international student, you have the opportunity to study at one of only a handful of colleges in this country that is devoted to the mission of reclaiming the heritage and legacy of Chinese Medicine. Daoist Traditions is authorized under federal law to enroll nonimmigrant students into the MAHM and dual enrollment MAHM/DAHM programs. The Department of Homeland Security requires that all international students enroll in a full-time course of study, attend classes regularly, and make satisfactory progress towards completion of the degree objective. The college does not enroll F-1 students in the DAHM Professional Track or CCHM programs due to federal limitations on the number of online classes they are permitted to enroll in each semester.

Daoist Traditions will issue a SEVIS Form I-20 to international students who are accepted into the program and who have provided all required documentation. It is the student’s responsibility to obtain an F-1 Visa to study in the U.S.

English Language Competency
Academic success is dependent upon the student’s ability to understand, speak, read, and write in English. The level of proficiency needed for a graduate-level academic program is greater than that required for daily living. English language competency is required of all students seeking admission. Please see the MAHM Admissions page for English Language Competency Policy.

Transcripts from other countries must be translated into English and evaluated by a credential evaluation service, such as World Education Services (wes.org), or Educational Credential Evaluators (ece.org).
Admissions Process
Special application and admission procedures are required of international applicants who are entering the U.S. and who are transferring from other U.S. colleges. International applicants must submit specific documents in addition to the standard application materials for the program of study. Please refer to the admissions application for details.
If you have any questions about the application process, please contact our Admissions Director at admissions@daoisttraditions.edu.
