Bridget King

Bridget King spent her formative years in Chicago, Illinois. Upon graduation from high school she attended Illinois Wesleyan University graduating with a BA in Biology in 1983. Subsequently matriculating from The University of Iowa, Carver College of Medicine in 1987. With the desire to pursue primary care she completed Family Medicine residency in 1990, practicing family medicine initially with a HMO. Finding her niche in education she joined the faculty at Akron General Family Medicine residency; during her tenure she held a faculty position at NEOUCOM,VCOM, and served as Interim Director of the Family Medicine Residency. She obtained her MS Ed from University of Southern California in 2000. After working in medical education for ten years, she relocated to North Carolina where she worked in public health until retiring in 2019.
