Dr. Lok is a board-certified family physician dedicated to integrating the two worlds of conventional evidence-based medicine with whole-person care. Raised in a small town in Ohio, she developed an early appreciation for the healing doctor–patient relationship through accompanying her mother, a chiropractor, on home visits—an experience that continues to shape her approach to medicine.
Dr. Lok earned her medical degree from A.T. Still University, where she trained in osteopathic medicine and co-started a sex-positive, LGBTQ-affirming health lunch-hour curriculum. She completed her family medicine residency in rural Maine during the COVID-19 pandemic, caring for complex inpatient and outpatient populations and deeply enjoying teaching and mentoring medical students and interns in both hospital and clinic settings.
She is the founder of RiverRock Clinic in the Asheville–Weaverville area, where she practices personalized, relationship-centered primary care outside of corporate healthcare. Dr. Lok remains passionate about education, inclusivity, and modeling a humane, sustainable approach to medicine for future clinicians.
